I've read your article how to solve the problem when Windows 10 couldn't be installed. I am experiencing these problems on a Windows 7 Home Premium with service pack 1.

My computer - when the Windows 10 upgrade process is interrupted - automatically resets to the Windows 7 version and I don't get a set of options and menus as you are informing about. As I am living in the Netherlands the computer I use has a Dutch menu and unfortunately searching for disable driver signatures didn't help me.

Is it possible for you to inform me how I can get to this option - to disable driver signatures - from the Start menu? If you can give me the English menu options I hopefully am able to find them in the Dutch menu (and/or perhaps you can provide me with screenshots).

I hope you can help me and hope that after this soluction I am able to install Windows 10. Thanking you in advance :)

Karin

Are you doing the upgrade from the option shown within W7 or are you upgrading it using the media creation tool?

I'm doing the upgrade from the option shown within W7.

Can you download Windows Media Creation tool, and attempt to upgrade using the tool? https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10

Please defrag your hard disk and uninstall all anti virus softwares installed. Then, try again.

Unfortunately again it failed.
The update stopped at 89% with 57% configuration settings and after the reset the error message: 0xC1900101-0x4000D fase SECOND_BOOT error during MIGRATE-DATA
I again checked c:windows\minidump, but this is still empty

Can we do a remote session to check this?
commented Jan 20, 2016 by Orchidee (120 points)
A remote session is possible, but my operating system is in the Dutch language. Won't this be a problem for you?
If this is no problem, please let me know when and how we can do a remote session. I am living nearby Amsterdam, so in the Amsterdam time zone and can only do this when I am at home (Monday to Thursday after 19.00 hrs and Friday, Saterday and Sunday).

I can try. I am in the UK, and can do after 19:00 today. When you're ready, please send me an email on kevinarrows@appuals.com
